Factory-Reconditioned Campbell Hausfeld FP209500RB 2-Gallon Oil-Free Twinstack Air Compressor

I believe most refurbished items have been returned by a buy... generally without anything wrong with it and so sold as refurbished. You might think that means the item had something wrong with it and now that problem has been corrected. You might even think you are getting something that has "all the bugs worked out of it" and brand new. The brand new part may be right but I think this company Campbell-Hausfeld doesn't give a care about their products. I had to return a refurb as it was DOA... no air pressure and louder than my giant garage compressor. Then I went to a pancake compressor (new... same company)... instructions say "break in with regulator valve turned clockwise all the way" for 5 min... NO regulator... and for an airbrush!! 100 psi. Thankfully that one didn't work either... no air pressure at all after 15 min of running and so darn loud it was running in my basement and my wife was worried I might interrupt my neighbor's dinner (100 ft away in another closed...Read more

I bought this to replace a defunct Campbell Hausfeld pancake compressor. The seller shipped it right away, but unfortunately it is not powerful enough to be practical, never exceeding 90 psi, and incapable of firing a framing nailer more than once without repressurizing.

This is not a good quality compressor. I expect more from CH. The air feeder lines from piston are car fuel lines and not air hoses. The two feeder hosed rub against each other (due to poor design) because of vibration and will wear a hole in each other. I have had this compressor for 1 year and 2 months, used it 5 times and now the hoses have worn through and air leaks out. What a piece of crap. I spent 3 hours fixing this, cutting away crappy fittings, reinstalling air hose and clamping off. Do not buy this.
