Summary: Nice compressor for the price 2003-02-22
Comment: The EC10 arrived with the high pressure guage not working. One call to Hitachi support and a new guage arrived within days. 15 Minutes later I had the new guage installed and working. Since then it has worked well for various applications including an impact wrench. I recommend it for low-medium volume tools.

Summary: More for Less 2002-09-20
Comment: Light and somewhat quite, it suits my small shop needs just fine. An added bonus to this compresser is that it now has two hp instead of one and a-half and the purchase price is the same. Seems well built.

Summary: inexpensive, lightweight, good performance 2002-05-10
Comment: I use this compressor with a brad nailer and it has all the capacity I need. It is light and easy to move, but is vulnerable to damage from bumps and rough treatment. A protective cage would be helpful if it is going to be transported a lot, but this would add to its weight and bulk. It is not excessively noisy, and is compact and easy to store when not in use. All this for a reasonable price.
