Easy Portability
The C1010’s compact design lends itself to convenient portability from job site to job site. Weighing only 23 pounds and measuring nine inches wide, its slender suitcase-style design allows it to be easily stored and transported in the backseat of work vans and trucks. Operation is easy thanks to a one-hand universal quick connect feature for efficiency. Its ball drain valve makes for swift and comprehensive tank draining. Storage is made simple thanks to a convenient cord wrap feature built into the compressor.
Durable Construction
Porter-Cable’s pioneering roll cage and full-protection frame design safeguards the C1010 from typical wear and tear as well as any unintentional damage on the job site. The metal control panel covers the air manifold to further shield the compressor’s key mechanisms.

This unit is fairly quiet (acceptable), I have owned small compressors for 3 years now and mainly do trim work, and drywall texturing with these units. I bought this unit for installing a hard wood floor using a Bostitch pnuematic floor stapler and corner round around base. This worked great, it recharged up fairly quick and feels like it is built to last. I know how well Porter Cable tools and compressors hold up and think this is going to be a keeper. Smaller compressors do work a little harder because of the size of the tank, but they haven't let me down yet and I am impressed by how much better they get each year. 15 of 15 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Porter-Cable C1010 Heavy-Duty 1-Gallon 135 PSI Max Quiet Trim Compressor (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought one of these to replace a Campbell-Hausfield compressor I've used for home projects over the past 20 years. My C-H was still viable, barely, but lacked some pretty basic elements that have made using it increasingly questionable (no pressure gauge, a crude output pressure regular which doubles as the tank drain, no automatic cut in/cut out). With another project coming up, I decided it was probably past time for a change and so began looking. I was very tempted by the very favorable reviews for the big brother of this one, the Porter-Cable C2002-WK, a pancake compressor that was just a bit too big for my needs, not to mention 10 pounds heavier and $60 more. The fact that Amazon had this one priced for $80 on Cyber Monday sealed the deal. It is very easy to use, although as many have noted, make sure you perform the 15 minute break-in by running it with the tank drain open before you pressure it up for the first time. The drain is a levered ball valve on the underside of...Read more 13 of 14 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Porter-Cable C1010 Heavy-Duty 1-Gallon 135 PSI Max Quiet Trim Compressor (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought this compressor to keep in my 5th wheel to blow out the water lines. I was a bit nervous about buying such a small compressor, but I have tons of respect for Porter-Cable as I own many of their power tools. The size of the compressor is perfect! It easily fits in any of the lower compartments. Its light weight and its quiet too! I own a full size compressor that I use at home, but my concern was when we go camping in colder weather and I might have to drive home with water still in some of the lines before I get a chance to blow the water out at home. Now all I have to do is run a extension cord from the trailer to the compressor, while its still in the storage compartment, and run a air line from the compressor to the city water fitting. With the compressor in the storage compartment running, you can barely hear it! I set the line pressure to 25-30 psi and start opening up the faucets. With it only being a 1 gallon compressor, it takes a little time, but I can blow out...Read more |
