Comment: Solid construction, good power and features, and a good price - you can't really go wrong with this unit. The dual fittings and compact footprint come in handy in a small workshop. It is a little on the noisy side (though quieter than some) and has only tripped the 15 amp circuit in my garage twice in the last few months of use.

Comment: Size of the tank is fine, but its really about the horsepower of the motor and amount of air motor can put out so that you don't have long period of motor running in order to build a pressure in the tank. This 3hp engine is much better than large size tank with 2hp engine.

Comment: I had a Porter Cable pancake compressor and was happy with it for around the house projects and use. It was stolen (smart thief) and I replaced it with this compressor. This is a much more serious machine at just a fraction more of the cost. I ordered from Amazon, paid about $80 less than the local stores, paid no tax, shipping was free, and delivery was ahead of schedule and it arrived in perfect condition. This compressor is also quieter than the pancake compressor I had.

Comment: 175 bucks and free shipping, no brainer, buy 2 because your neighbor won't return yours when you lend it to him.

Comment: This air compressor is great! This unit is fairly quiet, compact, light enough to be toted around if needed, no oil needed and very powerful. With 5.5 CFM @ 90 PSI, there is enough power to do most jobs around the house. This unit replaced a 12 year old 15 gallons, 2 hp, craftsman rolling air compressor and all I can say is that I wish I purchased this unit sooner. It runs quieter and is definitely more powerful then the craftsman. I like the portable size too, it doesn't take up too much room. When comparing the 2 units the Porter Cable is definitely stronger, the only difference being that when you are running any tools the compressor is running almost non stop compared to a unit with a larger tank that does not have to refill as fast. I consider this a plus though, because I always drain the tank after each use and it does not take as long to release all the air. At this price range there are many choices out there for anyone looking for a compact air compressor but when you start to compare CFM ratings @ 90 PSI this one has the highest ratings.
